There was a new “Swamp master” crowned this past weekend. Former champion, Jeff Quattrocchi lost his title at the Cotee River Seafood Festival in New Port Richey. Records are sketchy but Jeff appears to have held the title for several years. To get further comment, you would have to contact him at Bayfront Medical Center where he was taken by helicopter after losing his latest match.
Florida Fish and Widllife Conservation Commission officers captured the new “Swamp master” and are deciding whether to kill it or return it to Quattrocchi. What? There is a penalty for finally winning a match. What incentive will future contestants have to win? Do you really think the Rays will want to win the World Series if they are told they will all be executed if they do?
Quattrocchi said “considering events in my life over the past several years, I’m lucky to be alive. I work with 8 foot, 200-pound grumpy alligators who would love to take a chunk out of me at any time. I bow to no man or beast but respect all who rock before me”. You can see that Quattrocchi is quite the intellectual wordsmith.
Being a fan of the underdog, I say to you Mr. Alligator….Rock on dude.
