Stop it! Just stop it!

What is the fascination with shows on ice? Disney on Ice, High School Musical on Ice, Dora on Ice, Holiday on Ice, Stars on Ice, etc. etc. etc.

I was told as a parent, I was going to have to attend these shows as the kids want to see them. I want to be involved but I have limits.

I don't want to see anything on ice except for hockey or a cool refreshing beverage. I don't need to see some guy in tights, wearing a Big Bird costume spinning. I don't want to see a popular teenage star doing a graceful jump. I will go to Disney. I will sit through school choral concerts. I will take kids to the circus. I do not do shows on ice. I would choose to pick up after the elephants over sitting through 5 minutes of an "ice show". Heck, I would pick being trampled by those same elephants over sitting through an afternoon of entertainment from Brian Boitano and some 85 pound Ukrainian woman with an unpronounceable name.

So please, if your show on ice doesn't give me hope of seeing a good fight, don't come to a venue anywhere near west central Florida.

If you decide to add real fighting to your show, let me know and I might reconsider my position. Until then....stay away!!! Thank you.
