The Florida legislature failed to pass an anti-beastiality law. This issue has come up in recent years but lawmakers have not been able to get a law passed . We have been unable to prosecute these "people" since it is not a crime. The only crime has been animal cruelty and it is difficult to prove that the animal is being harmed. Nobody has determined whether "baaaaah" means pleasure or distress. We Floridians have looked good nationally with stories of sex with dogs and even one special character who was suspected of accidentally choking his goat while having sex, of some sort, with it. Ladies, this is not strictly a male problem. There have been stories of women looking for a good time with Fido as well. There was one who made a video of herself having sex with a dog and even one who adopted dogs just for the “companionship”
Legislators said they don’t want to discuss the law on the floor because there are often children present and that the topic is “yucky”. People, if they can't get this law passed, do we really have faith that they can get anything done?
Does this law really need to be discussed on the floor? Here, let me handle this. Here is the law as I have written it.
House Bill #999 titled “NO SEX WITH ANIMALS”
It is a felony to have sex with an animal punishable under 3rd degree felony guidelines of up to 5 years in jail and $5000 fine per incident.
Done. Now, for the issue of not wanting to talk about it on the floor in front of children, here is how that goes.
“We have proposed bill #999, do we have anyone who wishes to discuss this in front of the children and media except for the good gentleman, Representative Cooter Brown from Gainesville? No? good. All those in favor say aye (loud, resounding “AYE” is heard). All those opposed we have the media waiting to do a story about you ending your political career say nay? (all heads turn to look at Cooter but even he is too scared to speak). Good, done. Next subject”
It should fly through the senate the same way. Which leaves us to picket Gov. Crist to sign it. It could be a tough sell but with enough pressure he should cave.
